Yanbo Wopad A10 is based on A10 processor from ALLWINNER Zhuhai Technology Ltd. Co., which has good performance as a major control chip. It’s said that ALLWINNER A10 has many attractive advantages, like its low price, fully featured functions, Cortex A8 core, 1.5GHz main frequency, 2160P video decoding and integrated GPU Mali-400. So how is the actual experience on Wopad A10? Read on our hands-on review.

Technology Focus:
The development of ALLWINNER A10 processor included several cutting edge techs like multi-core 1.5GHz and 2160P video decoding. Based on Cortex A8 core, the prototype runs stably around 1GHz. Multi-core means high integration level of CPU+GPU+VPU+VE, of which the performance can be compared against mainstream A8 chips. Its 2160P decoding capability has surpassed all domestic tablets in China. In addition, AllWINNER A10 supports DPU HDMI output, simultaneously displaying content on the tablet screen and external screen.
Hands-On Pics
Tested with a 2160P video: pretty powerful video playback performance indeed, even better than some high-end laptops.
Flash online video is played smoothly.
The inbuilt GPU Mali400, the prototype of Wopad A10 is compatible with most of Android gaming apps. But, the compatibility of A10 still need to be improved since some new 3D games like “City Racing 6″ can’t run on the prototype.
Quandrant: it shows “current freq: 1008MHz” actually, not that high 1.5GHz told by the manufacturer.
Qundrant Score: total score 1537 (normal level); CPU score reached 4471, good indeed; I/O has a lowe score 688; 3D based on Mali-400 scored 798, better than normal ones.
Overall Performance
Comparison against AMLogic 8726-M: equal level
Comparison against RK2918: A10′s GPU is stronger than RK2918, while compatibility is weaker since RK2918 has already spent such a long time optimizing its compatibility and stability.
General: as a major control chip, ALLWINNER A10 is quite good for entry level Android tablets, while it still need to be improved on compatibility and stability. We’ll update new review once the official version of Wopad A10 released.
